Around the world, some Global Missions representatives serve in locations where public visibility can create unnecessary risk for individuals, churches, or ongoing ministry efforts.

To help protect these missionaries and preserve long-term access to these regions, Global Missions has established promotional and communication guidelines for what we refer to as “Sensitive Access” or ACN (Access Challenged Nations) / RN (Restricted Nations).

These guidelines help districts, churches, pastors, and ministry teams know how to appropriately schedule, host, and promote missionaries serving in these environments.

This is important because
In some nations:

• Public ministry activity may be heavily restricted
• Religious conversion may be opposed or monitored
• Missionary presence may require discretion
• Public digital exposure can affect visas, travel, relationships, or ministry access

Careful communication helps:

• Protect missionaries and national believers
• Preserve future ministry opportunities
• Maintain safe and effective Gospel outreach
• Support long-term Kingdom growth

Please:

• Use only officially approved names, graphics, and descriptions
• Follow all instructions provided by Global Missions
• Avoid posting unauthorized photos, locations, or identifying details
• Consult Global Missions before live-streaming or publicly distributing sensitive content
• Involve your church media team in reviewing these guidelines

Not every missionary serving in a sensitive field will follow the exact same promotional procedures.

Some representatives may:

• Use initials instead of full names
• Use silhouettes instead of personal photos
• Limit public references to their country or ministry location
• Require reduced digital visibility

Please carefully follow the instructions provided for each missionary individually.
